What ADHD therapists do at Clarity Clinic
ADHD therapists work with adults and adolescents on the lived experience of ADHD: emotional regulation, executive function, identity, relationships and sustainable systems. You'll combine evidence-based modalities (CBT for ADHD, ACT, ADHD coaching frameworks) with an affirming, strengths-based approach.
Who we're looking for
- BACP, UKCP or BABCP accredited therapists with specific ADHD training
- Clinicians who view ADHD through a neurodiversity-affirming lens
- Experience with comorbid presentations (anxiety, depression, trauma)
- Comfortable working remotely and in hybrid formats
Qualifications and registration
- Accredited counselling or psychotherapy qualification (BACP / UKCP / BABCP / HCPC)
- Specific CPD in ADHD therapy or coaching (ADDCA, ICF or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience
- Current professional indemnity insurance
Responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 ADHD-focused therapy sessions (typically 50 minutes)
- Set and review measurable goals each quarter
- Coordinate with assessing clinicians and GPs where shared-care exists
- Contribute to our internal practice library and peer learning

Do I need to be a specialist ADHD coach as well as a therapist?
No, but coaching frameworks (executive function, time management, energy mapping) are part of the work. Many of our therapists hold ADHD-specific CPD certificates alongside their core accreditation.
What's the typical caseload?
Most ADHD therapists carry 12–25 active clients. You set the cap.
