Private GP, women's health clinic
General practice built entirely around women, with appointment lengths that make prevention possible.
The short version
A private GP role in a women's health clinic paying £120 to £150 an hour, London-based with remote sessions available. You hold a general list of women aged 25 to 70, with 30 minute standard appointments and direct continuity.

Why this role exists
Women make the majority of household health decisions and receive the least investigation time. A general practice list built for women is not a marketing angle, it is a different clinical model: longer appointments, cycle-aware history taking, and thresholds for investigation that do not default to reassurance.
Who you would be looking after
Women across the adult span: contraception and cycle problems in their twenties and thirties, fertility and postnatal recovery, perimenopause, and long-term condition management shaped by hormonal change.
A day in the diary
- Eight to ten 30 minute appointments per session, capped
- One same-day slot per session held back for urgent concerns from existing patients
- Results and referrals handled in protected paid admin time
- Monthly clinical governance meeting with the medical director
What the work involves
- Hold a general women's health list with 30 minute standard appointments
- Investigate rather than reassure: bloods, imaging and onward referral where indicated
- Prescribe contraception, HRT and general medication with continuity of review
- Refer internally to nutrition, physiotherapy, psychology and assessment pathways
What we ask for
- GMC registration with a licence to practise, on the GP register
- Three years or more post-CCT experience
- Genuine interest in women's health as a specialism, not a sideline
- Enhanced DBS
What you get
- Rates published and paid monthly, no fee splitting surprises
- Full admin, reception and billing support
- Clinic space in central London or fully remote sessions
What this pays, and why
Private GP rates in the UK typically run £100 to £180 an hour depending on setting and whether the clinician brings their own patients. We publish a fixed band rather than a percentage split, so your income does not fall when the clinic discounts.

How hiring works here
- You send your details. No agency screening call before anyone clinical has read them.
- A clinician from the relevant pathway calls you within five working days.
- A working conversation about how you would handle two real cases.
- Registration and references checked, then a start date that works around your existing commitments.
Questions clinicians ask about this role
Can I combine this with NHS sessions?
Yes, and most of our GPs do. Sessions are booked in blocks so you can hold a stable NHS commitment alongside.
Do I need to bring my own patient list?
No. Patients come through our own intake and referral pathways. You are paid per session regardless of list size.
Is remote-only possible?
Yes for a majority-remote pattern, though we ask for at least one in-person day a month where examination is needed.
