Why this role exists
Most assistant posts are audit work with a clinical label. We need real analytic help with our PMDD and perimenopause outcomes, and we would rather train the next cohort of doctorate applicants properly while we do it.
Who you would be looking after
You support psychologists working with women experiencing PMDD, perimenopausal mood change, birth trauma and ADHD-linked dysregulation.
A day in the diary
- Two supervised clinical contact sessions a week
- Outcome measure administration, scoring and reporting
- Literature review and protocol work with the clinical lead
- Weekly individual supervision, protected
What the work involves
- Administer and score psychometric and outcome measures
- Support assessment write-ups under supervision
- Maintain our outcomes dataset and produce quarterly summaries
- Contribute to service evaluation and patient information materials
What we ask for
- Psychology degree with BPS graduate basis for chartered membership
- Some clinical or research experience, paid or voluntary
- Care with data and confidentiality
- Enhanced DBS, which we can arrange

NHS band 4 assistant posts run roughly £25,000 to £28,000. We pay above that and protect supervision time, because the point of the post is to make you a strong doctorate applicant.
