    Why this role exists

One in ten women leave work because of menopause symptoms. Employers ask us for policies; women need someone in the room who can translate symptoms into workable adjustments. This role does both.

Who you would be looking after

Working women aged 40 to 60 referred by employers, plus younger women with endometriosis, heavy bleeding or fertility treatment affecting attendance.

    A day in the diary

    • Three to five 40 minute assessments, on-site or by video
    • Adjustment reports written the same day, not a fortnight later
    • A monthly manager education session with the employer
    • Case review with our menopause GPs where medical input is needed

    What the work involves

    • Carry out menopause and women's health workplace assessments
    • Recommend practical, costed adjustments and follow up whether they happened
    • Advise HR and line managers without breaching clinical confidentiality
    • Refer into our clinical pathways where treatment, not adjustment, is the answer

    What we ask for

    • NMC registration with a current PIN
    • Occupational health qualification, or substantial OH experience
    • Confidence writing reports that non-clinicians can act on
    • Understanding of the Equality Act duty to make reasonable adjustments

    What you get

    • Two days on-site, three remote, set in advance
    • Mileage and travel costs covered
    • Pension, 33 days leave including bank holidays, and a CPD budget

    What this pays, and why

NHS and in-house OH nurse roles typically run £38,000 to £48,000. Independent OH providers pay similarly. Our band sits above because the clinical scope includes menopause specialism, not general fitness for work alone.

    How hiring works here

    1. You send your details. No agency screening call before anyone clinical has read them.
    2. A clinician from the relevant pathway calls you within five working days.
    3. A working conversation about how you would handle two real cases.
    4. Registration and references checked, then a start date that works around your existing commitments.

Questions clinicians ask about this role

    How much travel is involved?

Two days a week on employer sites, planned by region so you are not crossing the country. Travel time is paid and mileage covered.

Do I need a menopause qualification?

Not at the start. We fund menopause training in your first six months and pair you with a menopause GP for case supervision.

    Who sees my reports?

The woman first, always. Employers receive the adjustment recommendations only, with clinical detail withheld unless she consents.
