Why this role exists
A clinician network scales quickly and governance is what stops that becoming dangerous. Someone has to own scope of practice, supervision, incident learning and regulatory readiness, and hold real authority when a commercial decision cuts against safety.
Who you would be looking after
No direct caseload, though we expect you to keep a clinical commitment somewhere.

- Governance framework, policy and scope of practice work
- Incident review and learning, with actions tracked to closure
- Audit programme design and oversight
- CQC readiness and regulatory engagement

NHS Band 8c to 8d governance leadership runs £76,000 to £110,000. Independent sector heads of governance run £85,000 to £125,000. Our band sits mid-market with board-level access.
