    Why this role exists

Skin thinning, hair loss and adult acne in perimenopause are usually dismissed as vanity. They are hormonal, they are distressing, and they deserve assessment rather than an upsell.

Who you would be looking after

Women aged 40 to 60 with menopausal skin change, female pattern hair loss, adult acne and rosacea flares.

    A day in the diary

    • Forty-five minute assessments with a written plan
    • Treatment sessions with realistic expectations set in advance
    • Joint review with our menopause GPs where systemic treatment is indicated
    • Photographic outcome review at three months

    What the work involves

    • Assess menopausal skin and hair change and distinguish it from dermatological disease
    • Deliver evidence-based treatments within your competence
    • Say no to treatment where it is not indicated, without commercial pressure
    • Refer into HRT, nutrition and dermatology pathways

    What we ask for

    • NMC registration with a current PIN
    • Aesthetics practice experience with recognised training
    • Own professional indemnity for aesthetic procedures
    • Comfort working without commission or sales targets

    What you get

    • No sales targets, ever
    • Funded dermatology and menopause CPD
    • Pension and 33 days leave including bank holidays

    What this pays, and why

Aesthetics nursing pay varies wildly because much of it is commission based. Our band is salary only, set at the level a commission-free senior aesthetics nurse would typically earn in total.

    How hiring works here

    1. You send your details. No agency screening call before anyone clinical has read them.
    2. A clinician from the relevant pathway calls you within five working days.
    3. A working conversation about how you would handle two real cases.
    4. Registration and references checked, then a start date that works around your existing commitments.

Questions clinicians ask about this role

    Is pay commission based?

No. Salary only, deliberately, so clinical judgement is never in tension with revenue.

    What treatments are in scope?

Evidence-based skin health, medical-grade topical and in-clinic treatments, and hair loss assessment. We are conservative about what we offer.

    Do I need menopause knowledge?

We fund the training. Aesthetics competence and honest clinical judgement come first.
