Why this role exists
Clinics run on the person who prepares the room, holds the conversation while the kit is set up, and notices when a woman is distressed. We treat that as clinical work and pay for it accordingly.
Who you would be looking after
Women across the adult age range attending for health checks, procedures, screening appointments and pre-consultation measurements.
A day in the diary
- Health check appointments including blood pressure, height, weight and ECG
- Chaperoning coil fittings and intimate examinations
- Room preparation, stock and equipment checks
- Follow-up calls to women after procedures
What the work involves
- Carry out baseline observations and record them accurately
- Chaperone intimate examinations with genuine attention to dignity
- Prepare rooms and equipment for procedure lists
- Support the nursing team with recalls and results administration
What we ask for
- Care Certificate, or care experience and willingness to complete it
- Confidence with observations and basic clinical measurement
- Discretion and warmth with anxious patients
- Enhanced DBS, which we can arrange
