Prices are the brand's UK list price at the time of writing and change often. Cost per day is calculated from pack size and the label's daily serving, and is shown only where the brand publishes both. We do not accept payment for inclusion or placement.

When a supplement is not the answer

If your skin has changed in a way that bothers you, the highest-value interventions are daily broad-spectrum SPF, not smoking, sleep, and a topical retinoid if suitable for you. Where menopausal symptoms are affecting you more broadly, systemic HRT has effects on skin as well as everything else, and that is a clinical conversation rather than a shopping one.

    Questions people ask.

Which collagen for menopause should I buy?
Skin collagen declines rapidly around menopause because of falling oestrogen. Hydrolysed collagen peptides at 2.5-10g daily produce small, repeatable improvements in skin hydration and elasticity in trials after 8-12 weeks. The effect is modest, reverses when you stop, and does not address the underlying hormonal change.
How is cost per day calculated?
We divide the brand's UK list price by the number of days a pack lasts, using the pack size and the daily serving printed on the label. Where a brand does not publish both numbers we leave the figure blank rather than estimate it.
Are these products ranked or paid placements?
No. The table is ordered alphabetically and nobody pays to appear in it. We do not hold ratings, accreditations or trial results for individual products, so we do not publish any.
Can I take more than one of these together?
Often yes, but check the total dose of any nutrient that appears in more than one product, and check interactions with your medication with a pharmacist first. Iron in particular should only be taken when a blood test shows you need it.
    Does collagen help menopausal skin?
Trials show small improvements in hydration and elasticity at 2.5-10g daily over two to three months. It does not reverse the oestrogen-driven loss.
How much collagen should I take in menopause?
2.5-10g of hydrolysed peptides daily. Most skin studies sit at the lower end of that range.
Marine or bovine collagen for menopause?
No good head-to-head evidence favours either for skin. Choose on price and dietary preference.
